I did have fun with this cake - it forced me to think outside of the box.
My friend wanted the cake tray to look like hardwood flooring
just like the movie..hmm..
so i used a regular cake board, bought scrapbook paper
that looked like hardwood and used packing tape to
cover the whole thing, worked perfectly!
the head and foot board are made with gumpaste fondant
the pillow - left over scrap cake covered with fondant
the fondant was also homemade marshmallow
fondant.
